Biography

Salvo Blair received a bachelor’s in political science from Millsaps College and a JD from Mississippi College School of Law. He has devoted his law practice to public service. He has defended the rights of migrants trapped in the problematic Texas policy named “Operation Lone Star.” After serving along the border, he took a position for the Harris County Public Defender’s Office. He currently defends the public accused of a variety of serious felonies in the fourth largest city in the US.  He is a proud participant in the Gideon’s Promise program and Future Indigent Leaders of Texas program. He believes in a theory of holistic defense that shifts the role of defense counsel to a narrative brand of advocacy centered on addressing the client’s needs in a broader way than just the legal case against them.
