Katherine (“Katie”) Mastrucci is a partner in the Miami, Florida office of Shook, Hardy & Bacon LLP. Katie practices in a wide variety of legal disciplines before both state and federal courts as well as arbitral tribunals, primarily focusing on the defense of Fortune 100 companies in pharmaceutical and medical device product liability litigation and environmental/toxic tort litigation. Mindful of nascent trends, she also counsels clients on potential liability arising out of emerging metaverse technologies. Over the years, Katie has deposed numerous witnesses—including plaintiffs, experts, treating physicians, and other non-party fact witnesses—including at least 30 remote video depositions since the start of COVID-19.
