Katherine Breslin is a Senior Associate at Laura Solomon & Associates, where she forms and advises nonprofit, charitable organizations. She joined the firm in July 2011. Previously, she was an associate with Hunton & Williams LLP in Dallas, Texas and practiced in federal taxation and corporate matters serving nonprofit and for-profit entities. Before relocating to Philadelphia, Katherine was actively involved in pro bono work in Dallas, Texas, serving on the Texas Pro Bono Committee of Hunton & Williams LLP. As part of her work with the Committee, Katherine was instrumental in the formation of the nonprofit sub-practice group which connects Texas charities in need of legal assistance with volunteer Hunton attorneys. She is a graduate of the 2008-2009 Leadership Arts Institute (a program of Business Council for the Arts), and served on the Standing Committee for the Leadership Arts Alumni Association.

Katherine received her Bachelor’s degree in Spanish from Rhodes College (Memphis, Tennessee) in 1998 and her Juris Doctor from Brooklyn Law School in 2001. She also holds a Masters of Law in Taxation from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law. She is admitted to the state bars of Pennsylvania, New York, and Texas. Katherine frequently speaks to lawyers, accountants, and fundraising professionals on nonprofit, corporate, and tax issues.
