Emily Poler is an experienced commercial litigator. She represents organizations and individuals in a range of complex commercial disputes with a particular emphasis on the intersection of technology, art, intellectual property, and finance.
After graduating from Oberlin College and New York University School of Law and training at a premier Manhattan law firm, Cahill Gordon & Reindel LLP, Emily moved to a smaller litigation-focused firm. During her 12 years at that firm, she represented a range of clients including technology companies, investment banks, appraisers, not-for-profit organizations, unions, and high-net-worth individuals in a wide range of sophisticated, high-stakes matters.
In 2017 she founded Poler Legal LLC where she continues to represent entities and individuals in complex litigation. In addition, drawing on her extensive litigation experience where she has seen what can go wrong, she provides outside general counsel services to a range of companies. These services help clients avoid potential legal pitfalls and manage their risks.
Clients include companies focused on blockchain technology, content producers, rare commodities, investment in art, and trademark licensors.
