Melissa H. Luckman, was born and raised in New York, New York. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Long Island University in 2006 with PSI CHI Honors, and her Juris Doctor degree from Touro College's Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center in 2010. 

Upon admission, Ms. Luckman became an associate at various firms, where she practiced in the areas of matrimonial, family custody, commercial litigation, trusts & estates, real estate, and civil defense litigation. At Touro Ms. Luckman is the Director of the Disaster Relief Clinic, where she supervises 12 students a semester in the Clinic who actively work on files as well as teaches the seminar component to the Disaster Relief Clinic.

She is a member of the New York State Bar Association, and was likewise admitted to Federal Court. Ms. Luckman was admitted to the New York State Bar in 2011, and was admitted to both the U.S. District Court Eastern District of New York, and the Southern District of New York in February, 2012. Ms. Luckman also holds her Real Estate Broker's License.
