David N. Crapo is of Counsel to Gibbons P.C. in Newark, New Jersey.  Mr. Crapo practices in the areas of health law, data privacy and bankruptcy and insolvency.  He earned his law degree at the University of Houston Law Center and his LLM in Health Law and Policy from Seton Hall University School of Law.  He serves as a Vice-Chair—Education for the Health and Hospital Systems Practice Group of American Health Law Association and holds the designation, Certified International Privacy Professional—US from the International Association of Privacy Professionals.  He is a member of the Health Law Committee of the American Bankruptcy Institute.  Mr. Crapo also serves on the Board of Trustees of NewBridge Services, Inc., a New Jersey non-profit corporation providing behavioral and mental health treatment and affordable housing options for vulnerable persons.  He has represented hospitals and other institutional healthcare providers, medical practices, lenders, bidders, insurers and insurance agencies, employers, and a pharmacy chain in connection with healthcare issues both in and outside of bankruptcy and has served as the Patient Care Ombudsman in numerous healthcare bankruptcy cases, including the case of Mercy Hospital and Medical Center in Chicago.
