Overview
The COVID-19 pandemic created two classes of defaulted borrowers - those with GSE loans who were subject to a CDC Moratorium and those with non-GSE loans whose lenders proceeded forward with foreclosures and lawsuits on the Notes.
This program, presented by real estate attorney Erica Crohn Minchella, will provide an overview of the different types of loans, the options available to lenders, and defenses and strategies available to borrowers. Ms. Minchella will also review the key differences between residential and commercial foreclosures, and provide insight into what the future of foreclosures will hold.
Learning Objectives:
Identify the different kinds of loans to determine the remedies available to lenders
Review the remedies available to borrowers
Predict the future of foreclosures and alternatives available to borrowers
Discuss differences between residential and commercial foreclosures
