Staying off the Disciplinary Board's Naughty List: Ethical Traps and Pitfalls to Avoid

This course, presented by employment and entertainment attorney Jeffrey Campolongo, will walk through various ethical issues that arise in the practice of law. It will explore common ethical questions that arise in all practice areas that lawyers might encounter. Examples of scenarios to be discussed include the following:

• Is it ethical for a lawyer to have sexual relations with a client? What are the ramifications?

• Can a lawyer offer free legal services in exchange for sex?

• Is it legal to record your clients without their consent? Is it ethical? Advisable?

• Ethical implications of ex parte contacts with employees of a corporation 

This program will provide the answers to all of these legal and ethical quandaries and more.
