This program will discuss the critical issues and considerations when changing your state tax residency. Many people have realized that they can work remotely or have decided on a fresh start in the wake of the pandemic and do not need to live in a high-tax state. But what do states require for individuals to change their tax residency? This one-hour course compares the rules of residency in various states and what those states look at to determine whether you truly moved. We will also examine what income could still be subject to tax in a state, even if you are no longer a resident. This program will benefit practitioners who work with individual clients who might be considering or consider in the future, changing their state tax residency.
