Overview
The course, presented by Colette Holt, will provide a thorough overview of the case law and best practices governing public sector contracting equity programs. Attendees will become conversant with the legal standards governing these programs; the elements of equity programs, such as eligibility, developing and meeting contract goals, counting participation and contract performance compliance; and litigation strategies. The course will also discuss the SCOTUS case, Students for Fair Admissions v. President and Fellows of Harvard College, and its potential impact on the law covering DBE programs.
This program will benefit government, construction and civil rights practitioners who want to become conversant with the constitutional standards and the elements of successful public contracting and procurement programs.
