Overview
With the ever-changing commercial real estate market negotiating a lease has taken on a heightened sense of the market and legal awareness, particularly when considering long-term consequences. Leases have always presented complex issues that the parties must face and anticipate, sometimes years in advance. However, with the advent of pandemics and other nuances, what should the commercial and residential practitioners consider and contemplate? In part two of this course, participants will actually review generally used forms and language that often appear in residential and commercial lease agreements. The idea is to put "theory into practice" by reviewing and discussing sample lease language, forms, and clauses with a discussion as to how they follow applicable theories. Presented by Kenneth W. Biedzynski, Esq., this course will examine both a form of a residential and a commercial lease agreement.
Learning Objectives:
Review sample commercial and residential lease agreements
Discuss lease drafting concepts and stylistic considerations
Discuss resolutions of concerns and issues relating to lease drafting
