Navigating Health Coverage Impacting Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity

In this program, employee benefits attorney Erika M. Medina will review unique issues in health coverage affecting sexual orientation and gender identity. In particular, the course will discuss non-discrimination laws, federal and state laws protecting medical treatment and coverage, and unique issues such as taxability of benefits and surrogacy. The course will offer a focused lens on health benefits as it affects gender identity and sexual orientation.
