This CLE program, presented by Ken Moore and Steve Delchin, provides a general overview of law office management with a specific focus on how professional ethics influences and affects the proper functioning of a law office.  Topics include:

  • the formation and termination of the attorney-client relationship

  • a lawyer's duty of communication

  • conflicts of interest

  • the duty to maintain confidentiality

  • solicitation of clients

  • supervisory responsibilities

  • duties of subordinate attorneys

  • the duty of technological competence 

This program also explores trends in law office technology, including the emergence of the use of artificial intelligence in the practice of law, the use of social media, and the ethics of cloud computing.
