Key Developments and Trends in IP Litigation

The legal landscape relating to IP litigation has experienced an action-packed few years, with still more new developments on the horizon.  Between a Supreme Court engaged on a host of IP issues (including patent enablement, the interplay between the First Amendment and trademark protection, and copyright fair use), the rapid rise of AI, a resurgence of the District of Delaware and the Eastern District of Texas as key venues for patent litigation, the evolution of the law relating to trade secret identification, as well as continued momentum for legislative reform of IP laws at the federal level there has been a whirlwind of cases and issues to digest. This program, led by Rachel Blitzer (Latham & Watkins), Jordan Feirman (Skadden), and Ed Tulin (Gish PLLC), will discuss those recent developments and trends in copyright, patent, trade secret, and trademark law, with a particular focus on this past year and what it may mean for IP litigation going forward.
