Overview

On December 18, 2024, USCIS published a final rule implementing significant changes to the oft-coveted H-1B nonimmigrant visa category. The purpose of the rule as stated by the  U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is to modernize and improve the efficiency of the H-1B program, add benefits and flexibilities, and improve integrity measures.

This course, presented by Amy Fallon, will provide the audience with a robust overview of the highly sought after H-1B visa, including a discussion on the eligibility requirements for employers and their foreign worker population as well as their obligations in participating in the program. This course will also delve into the impact of the most recent and highly anticipated updates to modernize the H-1B program. The course will also explore challenges to the visa program including standard requests for evidence, work-site compliance, and hidden pitfalls.
