Overview
This session, presented by Ama Yawson and El Schneider, will provide introductory concepts and basic definitions of gender pronouns and gender-inclusive language for allies, those new to DEI work in the legal space, or anyone who needs a basic foundation of inclusive terminology. Attendees will gain an overview of inclusive language and various gender pronouns, examples of how to incorporate inclusive language in conversations, and understand the importance of inclusive language and the detrimental effects of non-inclusive language. The speakers will specifically address the importance of gender inclusive language in law firms and law firm culture.
