Overview

This program will discuss the Supreme Court's groundbreaking decision in Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization, and the fall-out of that decision, including the myriad state laws that criminalize the provision of abortion care, give a private right of action to individuals against persons who aid and abet that care, as well as opposing state "safe-haven" laws.  The presenters will discuss the impact that these laws have on employee benefit programs and employer policies and procedures, as well as some of the related legal and constitutional issues, including ERISA preemption, jurisdiction, and general principles of criminal accessory liability.
