Overview
This program will discuss recent developments in OSHA's enforcement activities and outline potential liability, from an OSHA perspective, employers face following workplace injuries or safety incidents. Spoiler alert, employers can face both civil and criminal penalties, depending on the circumstances. We will therefore discuss best practices and considerations when OSHA comes knocking, including but not limited to, the scope of employers' legal rights during OSHA investigations and how to prepare for OSHA before they arrive.
This program will benefit managers, safety professionals, in-house counsel, and outside counsel for various types of employers. It will not be focused on any particular industry, but keep in mind that some industries may have equipment, processes, or worksites with more hazards than others.
