This course will discuss the federal and state legal frameworks that impose restrictions and limitations on corporate political activity and identify options that are available to your company and its executives and employees to interact with candidates and influence elections. Topics covered will include the rules for forming and operating a corporate PAC to make contributions to candidates, and other rules for interacting with candidates and elected officials, such as hosting events with candidates, fundraising for candidates, and engaging in candidate advocacy.
