In recent years, it has become increasingly difficult to prevail in immigration court. It is extremely important to create a proper record for appeal, competently lodge appeals, and capably compose appellate briefs to the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA). This course, presented by immigration attorney Maris Liss, covers the nuts and bolts of how to appeal to the BIA, standards of review, brief-writing tips, and motions to the Board. After taking this course, you will understand the basics of BIA appeals and understand the standard and burden of proof. You will learn pro-tips for brief-writing as well.
