Overview
When we think about disabilities, we often think of physical disabilities that manifest themselves in a way that are obvious to the naked eye. What is often overlooked is the existence of invisible disabilities, or disabilities that are not immediately apparent. Join Michael Liner of Liner Legal, LLC and Victoria Rodreiguez-Roldan of AIDS United in a conversation about invisible disabilities, creating inclusive environments, the impact of COVID-19 on disability rights and more.
Learning Objectives:
-
Review how the legal profession is creating a diverse and inclusive environment for persons with disabilities and what further action can be taken
-
Identify accommodations available to lawyers and law students
-
Explore the impact of COVID-19 on disability rights in the workplace
-
Discuss how legal employers can position themselves to hire more lawyers with disabilities
