Overview

This course, presented by attorneys Alexis Alvarez and William Goren, will discuss selected topics related to the do's and don'ts of the hiring process when it comes to complying with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). By the end of the session, participants will have an understanding of employers' and job applicants' rights and obligations.

  1. Identify which employers and applicants are covered by the ADA

  2. Review reasonable accommodations and the do's and don'ts of the interactive process

  3. Discuss pre-employment medical exams and disability-related inquiries

  4. Gain tips for ensuring meaningful access to the hiring process
