Overview
This program will discuss legal obligations relating to accessibility in a workplace or public accommodation for both employees and customers and will then provide an overview of ways organizations can prioritize accessibility and disability inclusion to increase productivity and reduce liability.
Learning Objectives:
- Identify legal obligations relating to employment and public accommodations under the Americans with Disabilities Act, Rehabilitation Act, and other federal and state guidelines
- Discuss the creation of a Chief Accessibility Officer position along with a centralized accommodation system
- Ensure your accessibility program includes both apparent and non-apparent disabilities, as well as a commitment to neurodiversity and mental health
- Prepare a plan including best practices to increase productivity and limit legal liability
