Overview
In the last year, the National Labor Relations Board has taken a very aggressive approach toward long-standing practices for labor relations. If you are unaware of Cemex or Stericycle rulings of the Board, this may be the course for you. The General Counsel laid out her vision in 2021 for the role of the NLRB and has been successful in implementing it.
Any employer, or employee representative, must keep abreast of the rulings and guidance provided by the National Labor Relations Board. The rulings and guidance impact employees with a union and those that do not. This Board has been very active since taking majority status, either issuing new decisions that changed old precedents or creating new laws impacting all employers.
This course, presented by Paul Burmeister of Davis & Campbell, will provide background on the latest important rulings of the NLRB and portend what may lie ahead in the not-so-distant future. There is something for everyone from this Board…including perhaps laughter and tears.
- Discuss the basics of the NLRA so you can determine what personnel decisions may fall under the auspices of the Act
- Examine the latest key NLRB decisions and guidance provided in the last six to twelve months, applicable to union and non-union employers alike
- Review the NLRB's new objectives for the upcoming fiscal year
