Yes! Utah attorneys can receive credit for: Teaching CLE Courses. Lawyers who lecture in an accredited CLE program will receive 3 self-study credits for each hour spent lecturing. No lecturing or teaching credit is available for participation in a panel discussion or for preparation time. Legal Writing and Publishing. Attorneys may receive CLE credit for writing and publishing an article in a legal periodical. Teaching Law School Classes. Utah attorneys may receive credit towards their CLE requirements for part-time teaching in an approved law school Public Speaking. Credit may be given to UT attorneys for delivering a paper or speech on a professional subject at a meeting primarily attended by lawyers, legal assistants or law students. Note: For legal writing and publishing, teaching law school classes, and public speaking, the amount of credit received and the procedure for receiving credits will be individually decided by the Board on a case-by-case basis.
