Rob is a senior partner at Abbey Road Associates, LLP, a consulting firm specializing in pricing strategy and ethical strategies since 2003. The firm is noted for its focus on understanding of market motivations of competitors, and quantitative understanding of pricing. He has published dozens of articles on ethics and pricing and two books by McGraw-Hill, the most recent being Contextual Pricing (2014).
Client work has spanned a dozen industries government entities and countries. Successes include a five-fold price increase for The Food Network and double-digit revenue increases for the US Postal Service. This work provided the groundwork for understanding unethical behavior and provides evidence for the conclusion that ethics are more profitable than variation from the ethical.
Rob has been a lecturer at the Yale School of Management and the National University of Singapore. He author of Ethics and Hidden Greed (2023) released by Emerald Publishing in Cambridge, UK. This book provides much of the basis for this course. With Bruce Cranner he has also taught a CLE course for the Arizona Bar, which was rated “Excellent” or “Very good” by 42 out of 50 respondents of the post-class survey, and obtained a 4.4 out of 5.0 score from 86 attendees.
Rob holds an AB from Stanford University, a J.D. from the College of William and Mary, and an MBA from Columbia University. He is a member of the New York State Bar.
